my dad just said "justin bieber"........

Well! It is officially day 2 of camp. And I'm tired already. I am sleeping in AC (yay!) but I am stuck with the people who snore quite loudly. I don't mind though. Why? Because GOD invented earplugs. Plus, I am so tired from belaying people for about an hour or so, I should be out right away.

I am so happy that I am at camp. Very shortly, I am about to go out to the Lenai (a porch outside the Reck Hall) and have Pepsi Throwback (YUM!) and Cheez-its. Sounds like a wonderful way to end the evening.

I think I am off for now. I know it's a very short post, but I am going to try to keep you updated throughout the week!

Love, Alli

P.S. The reason for the title of today's post is, well, awkward. I have this fascination with baby sloths (THEY ARE SO CUTE) and my dad said "Well, it could be worse. At least she's not obsessed with Justin Beiber." and this is the reason for today's title.

LEADER HUNT TOMORROW EVENING! I hope I don't get found o.o

WOW time flies

So I am lying in bed pondering a few thoughts when I realized that there are only 25 days to go till I AM IN ROMANIA! YAY! It's quite a relief. I only have 7 days left in the working world, which is another relief. I came home from work sick today. After resting, I feel much better, even though I am still a bit sore.

Also, I am leaving to Camp Onaway tomorrow! I will be bringing my laptop and I will put in my random thoughts from camp. I can't wait! I can hear the songs shouting now... "YOU CAN'T RIDE IN MY RED WAGON! THE AXLE'S BROKEN AND THE WHEELS ARE DRAGGIN'. CHUG. CHUG. SECOND VERSE. A LITTLE BIT LOUDER AND A LITTLE BIT WORSE!"

Anyways... I think I am going to attempt some shut eye now....good night! The next you'll hear from me is when I am at camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Alli

on fire!

Hello everyone!!

I was listening to my favorite radio talk show called "stand up for the truth." They were talking about Christianity and Islam and the differences between them. They had a call-in and one of the callers said "America has turned into a country where they want to hold hands and sing Kumbayah, never offending anyone."

This made me think. That caller is right in a way. Lately, everyone's culture must be satisfied, whether it's in music or citcoms, literature or magazine articles. Why? Because nobody wants to step on each other's toes because they may offend someone or some culture. **gasp**

What kind of message is that sending to future generations? "Just go with it - you might offend someone otherwise." How is that right? Shouldn't we be a people who want to stand up for what is right? Stand up for what's right, even? If we don't, then what's the point of believing in anything? If we don't stand up for what is right, then why do believe what we do? It is just so we don't offend people? And if it's for that reason, Jesus' message would never be shared.

We are called in the Bible to spread the Word of GOD no matter the cost. There are so many people throughout history who have spread the Word of GOD and were killed for it. Look at the apostle Paul. Do you think that Christianity would have spread if Paul was worried that he may offend anyone? NO! In fact, he was stoned, beaten, thrown in jail, left for dead, and, eventually, was killed. But he had such a fire for GOD that he spread GOD's message no matter the cost.

I think that we as Christians need to have that fire that Paul had. If we are so worried about stepping on someone's toes, then GOD's Word will never spread. Not everyone is going to go with what you believe. And that is a fact of life.

On a side note, please come to the Outer Edge Stage in Appleton this Friday! We are having a benefit concert for the mission team going to Romania!! There is an optional 5$ donation at the door, and it will be a night of worship :)

Sigh. Wow. I guess when GOD speaks, it just inspires me to share. Well, I have to clean my room now. So more later :D

Va iubesc pe toti!(love you all!)
